Becoming Entrefied is a long and difficult process but one that is rewarding beyond ALL measure. What do I mean by entrefied(totally made it up)? Well, it’s simple. You become an entrepreneur of some sort. If you already are, then that’s great! This will reinforce your beliefs in success.

You definitely can live the life you’ve always wanted but with today’s technology, it doesn’t have to be as risky as it used to be. You can really start a business for $100 and make thousands. It’s crazy. I read stories all the time of people who sell handbags on Shopify and make $200,000 a month. Even I have a business on Shopify that I have started a few months ago to give it a shot. I’ve made several sales and profit nicely. It only took me around a month or two of making a store and contacting suppliers, I don’t have any money invested in the store or inventory, it’s pay as I go.

My main business has been in the financial sector with day trading and my own strategies that I’ve worked on for years. I recommend people to start something on the side so they can learn it, stick to it, and find out if they really love it. I started investing at 19 and have done it for years now. I still love it, every, single, day.

You have to find a model that suits you and goes beyond money. We will help you find that.

What Are Your Strengths?

You need to evaluate yourself. What are you good at? If you are a huge people person who loves to talk and constantly be around other people, you have No business running an E-Commerce store unless you’re constantly traveling to tradeshows and events.

If you love being indoors all day with books or games. You have No business owning a car dealership.

Do you see where I’m going with this?

You need to play to your strengths and develop a business based around your personality.

Start with a personality test. While these aren’t 100% accurate, they still give you insight as to who you are and some of your strengths/weaknesses.

Do You Have Enough Money?

Depending on the type of business you open, you may need to quit your full-time day job and become your own boss full time. Some people are unable to do this as they do not have enough money saved up to get themselves through to the next month.

If you start planning early on, you will be able to start setting aside some of your money and then when you are ready to quit your job, you can.

On the other hand, if you only want to run your business part-time, you may be able to do it on the side while you still have your full-time job.

Like I said earlier with my furniture business, I only have to stock inventory AFTER a sell, not prior so it cost me 50 bucks month for Shopify and then advertising costs. Plus its 100% hands off. I’ve made sales in my sleep.

Have You Done Your Research?

Another thing to think about is whether or not you have done your research.

Some people will go into business and not even research their market. This is like going to a college you’ve never heard of for a degree you’ve never heard of.

This can leave them in a bad place as their product or service may never get any traction and they will find they are out of luck. You should do your research first to ensure that you know whether or not you are on to something.

Google Trends is an amazing place to start searching for info.

Are You Prepared for Failure?

Let’s face it.

All companies experience failure at some point in time and if you do not, then you are doing something wrong or you have just been lucky. When it comes to your failures, you need to take these opportunities and learn from them. You should be prepared to handle them and not take them personally as it happens to even the best of us.

Be ready for weeks without sales at first. People aren’t going to be lining up at your doorstep unless you do some sort of hype and have a following already. You need a following, a brand presence. Think of how big a presence Amazon has or Apple. That’s the end goal.
